The Sufficiency Of Christ

Today we hear guest preacher Omar Lilly lead us through Colossians chapter 2, a beautiful text that proclaims the sufficiency of Christ in our salvation as well as sanctification. We are often tempted to proclaim this message with our lips, but then saddle ourselves with add-ons; Christ + (insert desire, regulation/ritual here). We are glad for this reminder that Christ has truly paid it all and performed all righteousness, for which we are given credit. We are truly lacking in nothing because of His glorious work, therefor we are free to enjoy His blessings as we carry out the good works He sets before us to do, trusting in no one and nothing else but Him alone.
